On September 20, Bangkok buzzed with creative energy as it celebrated European Heritage Days with the special Krung Thep Creative Streets event. This event offered a unique blend of art, culture, and history, inviting people to explore the vibrant street art scene through guided tours of the French Residence, Charoen Krung, and Talat Noi neighborhoods.
As a closing celebration, Sawasdee France, in collaboration with Live Promotions BKK, organized the Krung Thep Creative Streets Festival Finale at The Warehouse BKK and Clutch BKK. We were honored to take care of the program, production, and promotion of the event and see how it turned out. The evening was filled with a vibrant energy, the whole place packed with a diverse group of people, including representatives from the Embassy, talented street artists, local wall owners, and the public.
Art Market
The event featured a bustling Art Market, where talented local artists showcased their diverse works. Attendees had the opportunity to discover and support the incredible creativity flourishing in Bangkok. Among the featured artists and collectives were: artsaveworld, crudesone, is.art___, resindrome, Tu!!, and yellow.fever.
Adding to the interactive experience, attendees were invited to participate in a collaborative painting session, adding their own creative touch to a shared canvas and truly becoming part of the night.
Live Performances & DJs
The night’s energy grew with a series of captivating performances, blending dance, graffiti, live music, and diverse DJ sets from both French and Thai artists.
Samsara Circle started the show with a mix of dance, live painting, and music. Then, the famous French DJ DEE NASTY took over with his mix of old-school hip-hop, funk, soul, and electro.
Next, at Clutch BKK on the 2nd floor of The Warehouse, NaraTape Jam delivered a truly unique set, bringing traditional Thai folk sounds to life with an improvised phin and the nostalgic texture of cassettes. The audience was fully engaged, with many people dancing with one another in an atmosphere of shared enjoyment.
Follow-up with a captivated performance by Réjizz, with his unique “Thai-Funk,” which combines jazz, soulful roots, and Thai sounds. Sounds of Future Siam then took everyone on a fascinating trip with rare Thai recordings. The night ended perfectly with French DJ SABB, who got the crowd moving with her mix of Afro-diasporic, techno, and trance music.
Clutch was absolutely packed with people, the energy was incredible. Everyone was having a blast, dancing to the beat together, singing along, and cheering, creating a great sense of community and connection.
No festival is complete without delicious food and drinks! The night was made even more fulfilling for the enthusiastic crowd thanks to: Bonjour Bonsoir, Hogdot, Jamm’Ja Pizza, and Myella dessert.
